Inspect Element is literally just a keystroke away. It can't do that if they can't even see offending content in the first place.Īnother thing people keep saying is that you can just "send screenshots." Sending screenshots to report is not at all a good idea, because guess what: Discord uses Chrome. One of the main arguments for this is literally "other services do it," so why not use those other services? Discord needs to be able to moderate its own platform. Don't try to change it at the expensive of others just because you're paranoid and think that some evil hackerman is reading every single message sent through Discord ever at all times. If a service doesn't fit your needs, go to another service. You're not symbiotically attached to Discord, for God's sake. If you have anything that you feel needs to be this private, use some other platform. Discord is meant to be a chat platform for gamers. I’d like to note that if they did these two things, I would buy nitro hands down. To sum it up, if discord is going to do end to end encryption, they need to be able to verify and lock keys, and they need to be open source. The problem with tools like WhatsApp is that you can’t really know they’re end to end encrypted. If they did it like signal, where the fingerprint is visible and messages are locked to that key if you verify it, I would be extremely happy.Īnother point with signal is that it’s open source. This means that Snapchat can add a key to an already sent message and decrypt it. Snapchat allows for an unlimited number of keys for an account, and you can change keys after a message is sent. This would only be good if they did it right.įor example, Snapchat current has end to end encryption on its snaps.

You get the same rear camera with iPad 10 that’s on the Air which uses a 12MP wide lens. However, with the iPad Air being on the market for a while, it can sometimes be found at a discount. Here’s a breakdown of the price differences (MSRP) between these three iPads. The iPad 10 has the same battery life as the iPad 9 and iPad Air: The iPad 9 only comes in space gray and silver. iPad Air comes in space gray, starlight, pink, purple, and blue. IPad 10 comes in silver, pink, blue, and yellow. If the color of your next iPad is important, you’ve got more choices with the iPad 10 and iPad Air. But as mmWave is the rarest version of 5G coverage to find, that’s probably not an issue for most people. Like the iPhone SE 3, the iPad 10 and iPad Air don’t have mmWave 5G support with the cellular models. Apple hasn’t detailed in its tech specs whether it’s USB 3.1 Gen 2 for the iPad 10 like iPad Air uses, we’ll have to wait and see. The iPad 10 and iPad Air continue to use Touch ID but instead of it being located in the Home button, it’s found within the top button.Īnother upgrade with iPad 10 is the switch to USB-C. That includes the second-gen Apple Pencil, Magic Keyboard, and Smart Keyboard Folio. IPad Air works with all the same Apple accessories as the iPad Pro. iPadapalooza: Weird choices Apple is making for its new iPads. And that means a USB-C to Lightning adapter comes in the box for a clunky charging experience. However, a downside is the iPad 10 is still limited to the first-gen Apple Pencil. The iPad 10 gets an all-new Magic Keyboard Folio that has some neat features beyond the more expensive Magic Keyboard for iPad Pro/Air. The three main features you don’t get with iPad 10 found on iPad Air are P3 wide color, anti-reflective coating, and a laminated display.īut for most people, the iPad 10’s upgraded display will be great □. Other specs include 500 nits brightness, True Tone, and slim bezels. That’s a 10.9″ Liquid Retina panel with a 2360 x 1640 resolution. IPad 10 gets almost the same display as the more expensive iPad Air. But, unless you’re running your iPad hard with pro-level workflows like video editing, graphic design, etc., you probably don’t need or might not even notice the M1 chip upgrade. That includes a more powerful eight-core CPU and eight-core GPU. Meanwhile, the 2022 iPad Air is powered by the M1 chip. With the upgrade from the A13 to A14 Bionic, the company touts 20% faster CPU speed and an 80% faster neural engine. In its announcement, Apple focused on the improvement from the iPad 9 to 10. For all the charts below, the iPad 10 is in the middle row with iPad 9 on the left and iPad Air on the right. Let’s dig into what you get with the iPad 10 vs 9 vs iPad Air. M2 iPad Pro vs M1 iPad Pro: What’s changed?.M2 iPad Pro vs iPad Air: What do you gain or give up?.However, the iPad 10 with Apple’s modern slim-bezel design and a price below the iPad Air with many of the same features, it’s likely to pull customers away from both the iPad Pro and Air. But the entry-level iPad 9 carried on the old design with large bezels and Home button. The 2022 iPad Air blurred the line between the more affordable iPads and the Pro models, giving many people the incentive to skip the 11-inch iPad Pro. Below we’ll break down all the similarities and differences between the iPad 10 vs 9 vs iPad Air to help you decide which is the best choice. However, the iPad 10 may offer a sweet spot for modern features at an affordable price. While the 10th-gen iPad comes with a slew of great updates, the 9th-gen iPad remains in the lineup and there’s also the 2022 iPad Air to consider. But right now, I prefer the boost to open 3/speed/ball handling over strength and lat. Pop might be better later in the year when all cards have OP shooting stats. I've been messing around with coaches all year, and I think D'antoni > Casey. He can also boost them for Center, but your center has to be an excellent proficiency. With all the steal spam going on, ball control boosts are really nice.Īnd D'antoni boosts open 3 for PFs. This means that you can speedboost with Amy Giannis with a shoe + coach (I've tested it myself). Speed IMO is super important, especially a +4 to every player.ĭ'antoni also boosts ball handling to SFs (Casey does not). Casey gives ball handling to guards too.īut D'antoni boosts speed (instead of moving 3/moving 2). All nice, as it's great to get shooting boosts. Casey boosts moving 3/open mid/moving mid. I was using Casey too, but when I compared D'antoni, I liked his boosts much more.īoth give open 3 boosts. If you can test D'antoni, I highly recommend it. You are correct, they are different for every position. DiNardo said he doubted Harbaugh would have taken the job if he weren’t promised to have full autonomy in running the program. Now in the Big Ten you’ve got an Urban Meyer, a Jim Harbaugh, a Mark Dantonio.”Įarly reports had Michigan offering Harbaugh $49 million for six years. When you look at the SEC, there’s Nick Saban, there was Urban Meyer, Steve Spurrier, Mark Richt, Les Miles. “I’ve always felt the real evaluation of a conference is strength of coaches. “I think it gives the Big Ten great credibility,” said Lou Holtz, the former coach and ESPN analyst. Harbaugh, the starting quarterback for three seasons in the mid-1980s under Schembechler, is now being looked to as the coach who can finally return Michigan to prominence. The 49ers hired Harbaugh four days after the bowl, and he went 44-19-1 with two NFC West titles in four seasons. They won the Orange Bowl with quarterback Andrew Luck his final season. Stanford was 5-7 the following season, then improved to 8-5 and earned a Sun Bowl berth in 2009 - the school’s first bowl appearance since 2001. 1 Southern California, a game in which the Cardinal was a 41-point underdog. Harbaugh’s first Stanford team went 4-8 in a season highlighted by a 24-23 win over No. He took over a 1-11 team when he was hired in December 2006 and quickly turned the program back into a winner and bowl contender. Harbaugh went 58-27 overall as a college coach at San Diego and Stanford, including a 29-21 record in four seasons with the Cardinal. The Wolverines were 31-20 in Hoke’s four seasons and declined steadily after an 11-2 mark in his first year. Under Brady Hoke, Michigan dipped to 5-7 this season and was among only four Big Teams to not earn a bowl bid. Penn State’s James Franklin is a celebrated recruiter who looks to have the Nittany Lions on the rise. Michigan State’s Mark Dantonio has built a program that has staying power. Meyer is preparing the Buckeyes for this week’s semifinal against Alabama in the inaugural College Football Playoff. Still, Michigan’s new coach has his work cut out for him in a Big Ten East Division that’s only getting tougher. “This gives Michigan a chance to catch up,” DiNardo said. I think he’s going to do a great job and help out recruiting.”īig Ten Network analyst and former college coach Gerry DiNardo said Michigan, the only school with more than 900 all-time wins, would be bringing in a “rock star” capable of returning the Wolverines to elite status. “He’s basically Michigan royalty right now,” said former Wolverines quarterback Denard Robinson, now a Jacksonville Jaguars running back. Urban Meyer harkens to the league’s glory days, when Bo Schembechler and Woody Hayes ruled the conference. The idea of the Michigan-Ohio State rivalry spiced up with Harbaugh vs. After the 49ers slipped to 8-8 this season and missed the playoffs, he parted ways with the team Sunday in what both sides called a mutual decision.Ī day later, his name was the buzz of the Big Ten. Harbaugh, 51, coached the 49ers to three consecutive NFC championship games and they lost the 2013 Super Bowl to a Baltimore Ravens team coached by his brother, John. “I think we’ll have some comments tomorrow,” Harbaugh told The Michigan Daily, the student newspaper in Ann Arbor. But not long after Harbaugh arrived at the Detroit Metropolitan Airport on Monday night, Michigan scheduled a Tuesday news conference for a “major” football announcement. The person spoke on condition of anonymity because there was no formal announcement from the school or Harbaugh, who did not return calls or text messages. Former San Francisco 49ers coach Jim Harbaugh has signed a deal to become the new coach at Michigan, a person with knowledge of the discussions told the Associated Press on Monday. In a Facebook group that I Lurk belong to and occasionally contribute, I see the same heddle questions pop up. Make heddles the length from top peg to heddle peg I thought I would take a quick moment to talk about how I make and use my heddles and what works for me. The Inkle loom is one of those looms you have to make your heddles for, they don’t come pre-made, and this is often a gray area that creates some confusion. It seems simple enough, then you realize this would be much easier if you were an octopus. This allows you to quickly create a shed to weave through. They simply hold the warp tight and the heddles which keep half of the warp immobile. She can use her knees to squeeze the base near the right upright.Inkle looms are relatively simple in their design. She puts the left end in her lap with her foot on the right end on the ground. She found that she usually weaves sitting in a chair or on a stool. Most important, there is less chance of the pins bending under pressure which can ruin the project through uneven tension.Īn addition that my daughter found helpful was a vertical foot on the right end that stuck out both sides so she could steady it with her foot. There's plenty of room & it makes moving the project easier. I'd suggest using 3/4" or even a 1" dowels on this loom. I prefer to use a bigger dowel & separate the starting pin from the tension release, but that's tough to do on this design. I generally use a hanger bolt for the tension pin(s) with fender washers on the back side & a star knob, although I try to steer clear of cams in general. Picking the heddle pin up above the warp run is another good idea so the warps don't touch. Easy enough to fix by turning the lower center peg into another tension release. From studying several looms that work well, I've found there needs to be 1" of tension release for 17" of warp & have an unconfirmed report of even more being needed for one project. I've made that one & there are a couple of issues with it, the biggest one being it doesn't have enough tension release. This is basically what Bress shows in her "Inkle Weaving" book. The tension slot was laid out in S tep 4 and cut by drilling holes along the layout line, and hogged out with a cutting bit. Wood filler was made with sawdust and glue. Bits of cereal box were used to protect the threads of the bolt from the chuck. It was shaped by chucking the bolt into the drill and dressing it on a sanding block. Now the "design element" becomes functional as a thumb hole for portability!īy sandwiching the 1/4" hex head bolt between the two 1 1/2" rounds, the tension knob is created. Another 1 1/2" hole was cut into the long board, adjacent to the hole in the base. In Step 2, "design elements" were drilled into the base board. A "paddle" system was chosen and was made by splitting and whittling the 5 inch section of the long board that was retained in Step 2. This helps advance the work through the loom as you go, makes it easier to warp the loom with consistent tension, and allows for warp "take up" as the work progresses on the loom. Inkle looms must have some way to tension the warp. Please be encouraged to search around and see if Inkling might be something you'd enjoy- Then, come back here and build an Inkle loom! Luckily, a ton of online information is available on Inkle weaving. The other warp is made with "yarn" cut from strips of old t-shirts. One of the warps pictured, is regular 100% acrylic yarn. Bead work, wire weaving, card and tablet weaving, picking, and probably many other techniques can be applied to produce everything from single color utility straps to truly mesmerizing patterns in a range of materials from the finest silk thread to the coarsest fibers. Many different techniques can be demonstrated on this loom. On the contrary, Inkle weaving seems to have a very low cost of entry for amazing versatility. At first look, I thought it was limited by what it could produce and couldn't hold my attention for long. It is commonly used for weaving narrow bands and has been around for centuries. I was looking around at various types of weaving and different types of looms when I came across Inkling. For me, space is at a premium and I hesitate to spend time and money on an introductory weaving course which I may not actually enjoy, just to have access to a loom. The artist may spend many thousands of dollars on weaving kit which takes up a lot of space. One problem with weaving is that it can be extremely cost prohibitive. The weather is getting colder lately and I'm finding more excuses to lay about in the warm house. I've been thinking about weaving for a while as something I might enjoy to pass the time or teach my children. Available in 1 and 3 speed and comes in fluorescent yellow and black. There are plenty of eye candy in terms of armour sets and weaponry (with even more purchasable from NPC shopkeepers) to keep any would-be mage, rogue or warrior content. Dungeon Hunter isn’t shy about handing out prized items either, and in fact, an upgrade to your sword, staff or armour could be hidden on your next… victim. With such a large number of lambs to the slaughter, it shouldn’t come as any surprise that loot features strongly. The dungeons are huge and varied, and more importantly they’re bursting with monsters and enemies. It’s in this aspect that Dungeon Hunter: Alliance absolutely shines. Where most role-playing games are story-orientated or even character-centric, hack & slash games are all about pillaging villages and mounting heads on pikes (or at least unleashing the fury while underground). After all, in dungeon crawler circles, it’s all about the body count, copious amounts of enemies, frustrating boss characters and huge dungeons to crawl through. Nay… Dungeon Hunter knows what it is, and it knows what needs to be done. There are no delusions of grandeur, or an attempt to appeal to story snobs. It may sound like typical fantasy slop, but Dungeon Hunter: Alliance never attempts to be anything but a classic hack & slash game. the current Queen Regent) and to stop her from bringing the Dark Fairy (kind of like Chuthulu) from the Great Beyond. Nevertheless, nestled under a warm duvet, and basking in the ambient glow from the PS Vita’s 13cm OLED screen, I continued my epic journey.
